We believe raising awareness is key to inspiring change across all generations, borders and oceans. It starts by empowering the younger generation locally. Anak Pulau program is a community empowerment, dedicated to the youth of Perhentian Islands with a vision to create a locally-led conservation task force.
Three projects are currently running under PMRS:
Anak Pulau Programme, Rapid Response Team
& Junior Diver project
Rapid Response Team mainly focus on the direct action to protect marine ecosystems in Perhentian while Junior Diver project emphasis on the practical learning to understand the underwater ecosystem. Sponsorship of the PADI scuba diving license for selected members to upskill their participation and involvement in marine conservation.
